In 2017, Hugo was asked to write the theme music and original songs for ”Tractor Ted” . The popular children’s documentary series presented by JB Gill (“Down on the Farm”) and narrated by Matt Baker (“Country File”) provides youngsters with an insight into farm life through stories and songs. For a musician who grew up in the countryside between a hop farm and an orchard, the job was a perfect fit. Hugo continues to work with a frequent musical collaborator Isabella Goggin on the project - her ongoing research work in natural textiles, agriculture, livestock and regenerative farming provides authenticity and insight to the songwriting process. With the increasing separation between urban and rural life, both Hugo and Isabella are passionate about showing children the beauty of the countryside and vital role of fields, farms, animals and agricultural workers in producing food.
