in 2022, Hugo stepped into the role of on-set musical director for the hit BBC TV series “Champion”, working closely with creator and music-executive Candice Carty-Williams and music supervisor Catherine Grieves (“Killing Eve”, “Slow Horses”). Known best for novels including the 2019 best seller“Queeny”, Carty-Williams also lead the creation of a soundtrack of original songs from artists included Ray BLK, Ghetts, Shola Ama and M1llionz. Each episode features musical performances recorded live on set with the cast. The series is available now on BBC iPlayer.
